More than 300 people work on Tuesday to ensure the safety of the pilgrims (09/09/2012)

The safety of the Pilgrimage, composed of local police, fire and civil protection is ready.

Since morning, from early morning, will establish a safety device for the total control of the area, cutting off access traffic when the situation demands.

This day will be counted for these services with sufficient human and material resources, which are the following:

- 84 policemen.

- 16 police cars.

- 1 crane.

- Team transmissions.

Also featured will be the Fire Service, Civil Protection and Environmental Agents.

On Tuesday the 11th, day of the pilgrimage, the Local Police Service will be willing to:

- Escort processional Virgin of Fuensanta.

- Control and monitoring traffic in the city.

- Traffic control and surveillance in the area of ​​the Sanctuary and access, which will be protected in accordance with the attached information note.

This will have:

- 208 Police

- 26 Radio patrols.

- 32 Motorcycles.

- 3 Cranes.

- Equipment necessary transmissions.

- Next to the esplanade of the Shrine of the Fuensanta be installed, since the dawn of September 11, a Mobile Office of Citizen of the local police of Murcia.

The fire service unit located between the sanctuary and the Teatinos, opposite the old Seminary, and another on the esplanade of the Shrine.

This retainer will be provided a sanctuary from 08:00 hours to 20:00 hours, comprising 12 people displaced in two vehicles, as outlined below:

-A first envelope with a heavy urban pumper vehicle (BUP) comprising a cape (control), four firefighters and a driver.

It will be located in the concourse area of ​​the Sanctuary, along with the other emergency equipment (Ambulance, Civil Defence and local police).

-A second envelope with a heavy forest fire engine vehicle (BFP) consisting of a rope (control), four firefighters and a driver.

It will be located on the left bank of the climb that goes from the sanctuary to the crossroads of Teatinos-Light (opposite the old Seminary).

RED CROSS will be installed on the esplanade of the Shrine and at the intersection of Valley Road to the rise to Teatinos.

CIVIL PROTECTION mounted a service from 6 to 20 hours, with 75 people and 9 vehicles.

This year also, Civil Protection installed a field hospital at the crossroads called El Labrador, specifically in the Finca de la Cierva, with 25 medical staff members and one basic life support ambulance.

The rescue service, will be located next to Fire, at the point opposite the old Seminary, and will consist of 8 people.

In addition there will be three checkpoints forest and 8 environmental agents.

The bus service in connection with the pilgrimage, will stop in the city in Alameda de Colón, and Algezares, at the point called Algezares schools, from which they will return once the Virgin has started the climb to the Sanctuary.

As for the installation of street vendors, whose permissions are granted by the Department of Markets, Consumption and Decentralization, will in any case where they will not interfere with the free movement of people and emergency vehicles, ie out of the driveway and crossing sites, and always under the supervision and directions of the local police, according to Annex sketch.

In any case, do not authorize the installation of posts that lack the appropriate license sales.
