The Socialist Party believes that the dissolution of the Partnership 'Murcia Crossroads' confirms the unwillingness to recover the archaeological complex of Monteagudo (06/09/2012)

The council of the Socialist Group, Andrea Garries, negatively valued solution Tourist Consortium 'Murcia Crossroads' and sees its closing notes the lack of political will to make tourism an engine of the local economy and contribute to the economic recovery.

"The tourism initiatives help diversify our economy and should be priority actions to help end the crisis, if not decidedly bet this sector will slow economic recovery," said Garries.

In addition, the PSOE councilor contends that the dissolution of the Consortium also involves cessation of any action to recover the archaeological complex of Monteagudo and condemn the new Visitor Center San Cayetano to keep closed up tight for much longer despite that the works were completed in late 2010.

Garries remember that this center required an investment of nearly three million euros and is awaiting a grant from the Region of € 170,000 for allowing musealization open to tourism.

"Money that despite being approved and published in the BORM not come ever again we fear are behind the differences between the Community and the City Council Chamber or between Valcarcel and just paying all Murcia," the socialist mayor .

Finally, the PSOE councilor Murcia recalls the Crossroads Consortium has not met in this term, although the Socialist Group has formally requested to seek solutions to close the Visitor Center of San Cayetano and has not responded to request financial information that has made the Socialist Group on several occasions.
