The International Folk Festival in the Mediterranean edition celebrates 45 (30/07/2012)

The painter and sculptor, Murcia, born in La Union, Esteban Aguirre Bernal, has been this year, responsible for creating the poster for the 45th edition of the International Folklore Festival in the Mediterranean, to be held from 3 to 7 September .

The councilman of Culture, Rafael Gomez, has been commissioned to present this morning a preview of the festival, along with the director, Manuel Fernandez-Delgado and author of the poster.

With forty-five year history, the festival is one of the oldest of all the festivals that are celebrated not only in the city and the Region of Murcia, but also in Spain.

The International Folklore Festival in the Mediterranean serves as an integrating element between the different federations and associations.

This new edition is divided into different blocks:

- Song and dance groups, acting in different streets and squares of the city and the headquarters of the festival stage.

- Exhibitions, to complement the festival and its foundation will equip its rationale.

THE MYTH AND THE MEDITERRANEAN.

- Studies and reports, which will generate a seminar and a database for researchers of folklore.

"Midnight lamp" is a physical space and time for the creation and recreation; for sensitivity.

At the Museum of the City will create a physical space and time which made readings, recitations and dialogues of literary texts by different authors of all time, on issues related to the cultural field of folklore groups from participating in the festival: Portugal, Peru, North Ossetia, Uzbekistan, Egypt - Senegal and Spain (Balearic Islands and Canary Islands), by poets, artists and actors Murcia.

About the author of the poster

He studied Fine Arts at the Polytechnic University of Valencia, is Professor of Drawing and has made 38 solo exhibitions in Spain and abroad.

He has participated in 107 group exhibitions and won numerous awards from national paint.

He has made large-format murals in public and private.

As a sculptor has made monumental works on highways, public places and official centers among which are the Monument to the Miner.

Their contributions go beyond painting and sculpture.

He is the author of the trophies "Mining Lamp," The Desplante "," Bordon Minero "and" Philo Mining "International Festival del Cante de las Minas.

She has done several sets, installations and audiovisuals.
