The City Council supports partnership projects working with young people (30/07/2012)

The Department of Sports, Youth and Tourism, headed by Miguel Cascales, announces grants for partnerships with young people engaged to carry out their projects.

The main objective is to promote general social activities that encourage youth participation and integration in society, promoting the functioning of associations and groups of young people and support the cultural, social, educational, leisure and Volunteer to foster civic participation and citizenship of young people, both in their own associations as active social life.

The Board has given its approval to the bases of the call for grants for the promotion of youth participation in the municipality during 2012.

The associations will present their projects for activities to the municipality's population aged between 8 and 35 years.

Entities that are not specifically youth may only submit grant application for initiatives that are directed to this sector of the population.

All entities interested in this call will then have to present their projects 45 calendar days, counted from following the publication of the call for subsidies in the BORM.

The Youth Council will subsidize socio-cultural activities, leisure, related to youth culture and creativity, training and consultancy activities, operation and management of youth organizations, actions aimed at promoting volunteerism in the public interest, initiatives that promote social inclusion and integration of immigrant youth in youth associations in the municipality and activities of youth participation in general and to promote gender equality as a value and prevent gender violence.
