The new schedule of town hall workers will increase more than 100,000 hours of police presence and firefighters in security (26/07/2012)

The restructuring of municipal services approved by the City will result in immediate improvement in the safety of Murcia.

This increase will be possible by increasing hours of the fire and police staff, who will dedicate 111,276 hours to public security tasks.

For the entire staff of the City, increase working hours 389,268 hours annually, representing 132 hours per employee per year.

The new hours are a consequence of the extension of normal working hours under Law 2/2012, of the State Budget for 2012, and measures adopted by the Government to ensure fiscal stability and the promotion of competitiveness .

It has also approved the adjustment of the special days of availability of local police and firefighters, whose regimes are voluntary, the legal framework since the entry into force of the working week of 37 hours implies a restructuring of human resources.

Moreover, the plenary session this morning has passed with the votes of PP and UPyD an agreement that in the future be applied automatically to councilors and appropriate legal standards established for officials to get the objectives of austerity in spending plans of the government.
