The Socialist Group in plenary prompted the creation of the Local Board of Education (25/07/2012)

Socialist Party spokesman, Pedro Lopez, defend a motion in Parliament on Thursday demanding the local government creating the Local Board of Education that is integrated by the political groups that form the corporation, municipal technicians, representatives of social partners and economic municipality, representatives of ministries of the CARM with responsibilities in this area and the universities of Murcia.

Lopez considers essential to promote lifelong learning for all citizens in general, with special attention to the most disadvantaged groups.

"The municipalities can not be left behind in this area as administration closer to citizens, so that one of its objectives should be to learn first hand the needs of the business and the various institutions based in Murcia".

PSOE spokesman recalled that a large proportion of young people do not have sufficient training to adapt to changing market conditions and that only the month of June has left the figure of 4,328 unemployed people under 25 years, 517 more than last year and about 43,000 unemployed in total in the municipality.
