Doctoral Students of UMU, Coll Carlos Jara, wins the prize in Haiku, University of Murcia (05/07/2012)

Wednesday, July 4, it was announced the jury's Haiku Contest First University of Murcia, a prize organized The University Library and the Poetry Classroom Culture Service of the University of Murcia.

Haiku is a traditional Japanese poetry form consisting of a very short poem that has been gaining influence in the Western world.

The competition theme should revolve around the library or the book.

The competition was open to participation by people linked to the Universities of Murcia and Cartagena Polytechnic as students, PAS or PDI, was won by Carlos Coll Jara, PhD student, for the Haiku entitled "In Spring" while Miriam Pagan Peñalver, a student of Bachelor in Speech and Alberto Fernández Giménez, a student of Philosophy degree, rose up with individual accesits for his works "Basket of Books" and "Smell letter", respectively.

The jury was composed of the following members: Cobacho Lourdes Gomez, Director of the University Library, as President, Isabelle Garcia Molina, Director of the Poetry Classroom, Maria José Toral Garcia, Head of Collection of Experimental Sciences and Arts, and Maria Dolores Marcos Egea, Scientific Communications Manager, who acted as Secretary.

Haiku winners:

In spring the spore papyrus book was made.
