Students who complete high school have difficulty extrapolating the knowledge of the history of Spain learned in the classroom to real situations that affect them as citizens, as one of the conclusions of the doctoral dissertation at the University of Murcia by Elisa Navarro Medina.
The author of the study because of this deck as fragmented presentation makes the historical content and the disconnection of this teaching of the problems that society currently lives and that they are participants.
As formulas to correct the situation, the new doctor proposes the establishment of teaching strategies related to curriculum organization of matter around relevant issues, and promoting the participation of students in the classroom.
It also suggests the desirability "of being a teacher committed to his work as an educator of active citizens, participatory and democratic."
