The National Police arrested 21 people belonging to a criminal organization dedicated to money laundering, fraud, forgery, tax fraud, and Social Security Fraud (26/06/2012)

The alleged fraud was over 71,000 euros

The National Police through close collaboration with the National Social Security Institute and the Labour Inspectorate of the city and based on information obtained in recent months, for alleged social security fraud, has been able to dismantle a criminal group dedicated to Fraud, Tax Fraud and Social Security, forgery and money laundering.

The result of the investigations, the past 28 and May 29 have been arrested a total of 21 people in the provinces of Murcia, Albacete and Alicante, the "modus operandi" of them was in a group of individuals who are various shell companies, by himself or through proxies, for which ofertaban employment contracts for payment of a monthly, and by falsifying the same after a while, it may have Social Security benefits, or get permits permanent residency for illegal immigrants or prison privileges as the third grade prison workers paid in full collusion among some 150 euros a month, then be entitled to benefits such as unemployment, maternity,., to 3000 euros, when it came to contracts for obtaining residence permits, to pay the 180 euros per month, inmates for a third grade prison.

These companies did not make the payment of contributions to Social Security and did not carry out any work activity.

After a few months are written off companies, when the "alleged" workers presented fraudulent documents in the offices for the collection of the various benefits.

Among those involved that were stopped in Murcia, Hellin (Albacete), Alicante and Benidorm (Alicante) Spanish nationals were Moroccans, Paraguayan, Colombian and Romanian, aged between 25 and 50.

The dismantling was made possible by the work of the Economic Crime Specialist Group of the Provincial Brigade of the Judicial Police of Murcia, in collaboration with Social Security and Labour Inspectorate of Murcia, have made available to the Magistrate's Court 9 of Murcia to the 21 detainees, continuing research for the arrest of others involved.
