The University of Murcia yesterday celebrated the award ceremony of the VI Olympiad and Odyssey Classic Classical Languages ​​2012, organized by the Section of Murcia of the Spanish Society of Classical Studies in collaboration with the Seneca Foundation and is aimed at students Secondary school and the region.

In the form of Greek, first place went to José Sánchez Riquelme, IES Cañada de las Eras (Molina de Segura), followed by Cabadas Cristina Arteaga, IES Floridablanca (Murcia).

In Latin, Rogelio Jimenez won Guirao, Infanta Elena of IES (Jumilla), while Jose Riquelme Sanchez took second place.

The winner of the Award Odyssey Classic was the team of IES Jimenez Sword, Cartagena, made by students Marina Garcia Soto, Pablo Martinez Gil and Marta Nieto Prego.

The second corresponded to a team from the same institute formed by Elena Jove, Luis Miguel and Claudia Poyato, while Alcantara team Noelia Jimenez and Jose Daniel Gonzalez Segovia, the IES Alcántara (Sewer), won third prize.

All of the above received a check of school at a ceremony presided over the University Rector, José Antonio Cobacho, in the House of Arts and involving the CEO of Universities and Scientific Policy, Eduardo Osuna, the director- Seneca Foundation Manager, Antonio Gonzalez, president of the Spanish Society of Classical Studies in the Department of Murcia, Professor Maria Teresa Beltran.
