Masters in Cardiovascular Risk] | The UCAM discussed in its Summer School Cardiovascular Risk Factors |

San Antonio Catholic University of Murcia (UCAM), inaugurated this afternoon the Summer School 2012.

Masters in Cardiovascular Risk, hosted by the university until Saturday June 23.

The event is the encounter between different professionals from different parts of the national scene, who attend the Masters in cardiovascular risk, and that during the three days of the School will attend workshops on topics such as Hypertension, Diabetes and Metabolic Syndrome , heart failure, or food and Cardiovascular Risk.

Notably, the director of the Department of Cardiovascular Risk UCAM Jose Abellan, has been responsible for delivering the keynote address that has been on 'Exercise and Cardiovascular Risk.'

Abellán noted the importance of physical exercise "because it is a tool that we are wasting in the control of cardiovascular risk if not handled properly. A person has to exercise daily because we are prepared for it, and we must adapt to the circumstances of each individual. Exercise combined with proper training and a progressive exercise load, makes the heart, cardiovascular system will adapt, and produce beneficial effects in controlling blood pressure in raising the good cholesterol in the improved insulin sensitivity, and encourages and helps manage a healthy weight. "
