The Socialist Group calls are purged political responsibilities in the urban fabric of the case Umbra (15/06/2012)

PSOE spokesman, Pedro Lopez, considered shameful for Murcia and its citizens who have suffered degradation over the years, the Planning Department, and any subsequent accusations of their top executives and senior municipal officials, but Mayor House has taken any steps to clarify the gloom of the urban fabric

PSOE spokesman, Pedro Lopez, says that beyond the criminal liability in the case of the urban fabric Umbra and his alleged planning corruption, there are clear, precise and forceful political responsibilities that must be treated.

"Today was a sad day for democracy in Murcia, has been a very bad image of the city with the statement to the judge by Mayor House for nearly six hours, we expect that for the good of the City Justice reaches the end of this matter, "said Socialist spokesman.

Similarly, Pedro Lopez calls the imminent opening of a Commission of Inquiry established to determine the political responsibilities of all concerned, in the interest of Murcia and the credibility of the institution.

In this sense, the Socialist spokesman recalled that the ultimate political responsibility is arguably the most representative in La Glorieta since, both technical and political, were freely appointed and included in electoral rolls via the confidence of the Chamber, who as it can not be otherwise, is responsible for managing undisputed Planning Department.

Thus, Lopez says that the mayor of Murcia can not go outside showing the evolution, disparate decisions and actions that have occurred over many years in Planning, nay, per share, permission or omission has been the major player in this process of degradation of the institution.

"If it was aware of this issue and does not know, something really strange, does not deserve to govern this city, and if you knew and did nothing, all complicit in the alleged irregularities that have occurred over time" highlights the Socialist Party spokesman.

Remember that in the urban fabric of the case Umbra are involved, as defendants, former Town Planning, Fernando Berberena, former director of the Management, Alberto Guerra, former chief of management Planning, Joaquín Peñalver, the head of the Local Government Office of the City of Murcia and wife of Alberto Guerra, Isabel Fernandez, the head of the Legal Services Ana Maria Vidal Hall, and former manager of Planning, Pedro Morillas, among others.

In this process are being investigated six planning agreements that could have meant lost revenue for the City of between 300 and 520 million, according to various reports.
