Subsidies for associations and groups working in neighborhoods and districts (11/06/2012)

The City Council has called for subsidies to associations, groups or entities that conduct their activities in neighborhoods and districts of the municipality.

The Department of Markets, Consumption and Decentralization, directed Christopher Smith poses as one of its priorities, strengthen partnerships, groups, etc..

the municipality of Murcia, contributing to the generation of scheduled activities and referred to the areas of Culture, Tourism, Celebrations, Sports, Education, Youth, Health, Environment, Cooperation, Neighborhood Involvement, Consumer, Social Services and others in the municipality.

These grants are intended as support for the development of initiatives submitted by the social object of particular interest for all residents of the municipality.

May apply for grants, any association, group or entity and individuals conduct their activities mainly in neighborhoods and districts of the municipality of Murcia.

For the award of grants will be assessed:

- The scope of the applicant.

-That the activities are open and facilitate the participation of citizens in the planning and implementation thereof.

- The feasibility of the project in terms of financing planned.

- The social and cultural benefit of the project presented.

- That the planning and objectives are clearly stated.

- Integrating the gender perspective in the different phases of the performance.

- Actions to disadvantaged population groups such as children, women and immigration.

- To encourage equal opportunities for men and women.

-The proposals issued by the Neighborhood Associations within its scope.

Grant applications shall be submitted within 30 calendar days from the date of publication of the notice in the Official Gazette of the Region of Murcia.

The City Council has approved grants worth 142,450 euros.

In addition to this mode of financing, municipal boards offer direct support to groups and neighborhood associations and districts for the holding of workshops and activities.
