80 largest in the municipality will continue to receive assistance in the three geriatric day centers (09/06/2012)

The three day centers in the municipality-Barriomar, Cabezo Beniaján and Torres-continue to provide service to seniors, fulfilling the commitment of the government team to promote a greater good for this sector of the population.

Thanks to these three centers, a total of 80 adults can access services that contribute to socio improve their quality of life.

The City Council at its meeting today, has given its approval to the collaboration with the Autonomous Community that keeps running these community centers, amounting to 644,000 euros to July 2013.

The first Day Care Center was established in Barriomar in 2001.

Through these services ensures the coverage of basic care and attention needed by dependent elderly and their families by facilitating the reconciliation of family and work life with caring for the elderly.

Dayrooms centers, like home care or home telecare are a resource for front-line social care of older people, in order to guarantee a better quality of life, to allow them remain in their usual environment life and relationships and ensure they receive the care and attention they require.
