PSOE: "The City Council can not ignore the services once been privatized" (05/06/2012)

The socialist mayor Mar Rosa has requested a special meeting of the Special Committee on Oversight of Contract to clarify all doubts about the service of the emergency unit of local police and the situation of workers

Councilwoman Rosa Mar Socialist Group has requested the convening of an extraordinary meeting of the Special Committee on Oversight of Contract due to the controversy surrounding the situation of workers in the emergency unit of local police and current conditions of that service.

"There are many doubts in the air," says Rosa, who, in this regard, requests the municipal PP within the said Commission to clarify whether there were irregularities and breaches in the contract award, which explains why has laid off some workers and others not to accept or not certain working conditions and if there is a training scheme for new staff who joined the service.

For the socialist mayor, is intolerable that the local government from concerns of Council services once privatized, and that his obligation should be to ensure that the provision of a service as essential as the emergency unit of the police local pay safely and transparency, guaranteeing the rights acquired by employees with the company.

Finally, Rosa insists that local PP must be more rigorous in deciding what services are privatized and why others may be delivered in perfect condition by public officials, such as the TSR of 092.
