The Assembly passes a motion for recovery of the PSOE and musealization Reservoir St. Stephen (31/05/2012)

The Regional Assembly has approved this morning by the Committee on Education and Culture, a motion for recovery of the PSOE and musealization Reservoir St. Stephen.

The head of the Socialist Parliamentary Group Culture, Jesus Navarro welcomed this "excellent news for the Region of Murcia".

The Socialist motion requesting funding to add value to the Site of San Esteban, through the financial aid line "1% Cultural Ministry of Development."

In the same vein, proposed that those seeking additional funding streams for implementation of the Reservoir, central to Murcia.

Jesus Navarro stressed the enormous importance of the Palatine and complex now called St. Stephen's Andalus district, popularly known as St. Stephen's Field.

This is a fundamental piece to understand the development and evolution of an Islamic quarter of the thirteenth century, which has seen some remains of the twelfth century and some of the late eleventh century.

"More than 10,000 m2 of exceptional value, thanks to opposition from the neighbors to build a parking lot and the actions of the Platform in Defence of the archaeological site of San Esteban, we may retain today, earning it the declaration of Cultural Interest. "

Socialist MP defended the need, without delay, carried out the action, to its value and public use.
