Comic books against the crisis (30/05/2012)

The pinatarense Pedro Vera, one of the most popular cartoonists of our country, will speak at the University of Murcia in his work and comic humor as a therapy against the crisis.

Will be on Thursday May 31 at 19 pm in the Graduate Hall Campus de la Merced.

This is an activity organized by Comicum, the Hall of Comics at the University of Murcia, led by artists Juan Alvarez and Jorge Gomez, who will act as moderators in the meeting.

Born in 1967 in San Javier, Pedro Vera has been two-time winner of Murcia Young Comics, and author of the Revelation Award in Barcelona Comic Fair in 1995.

He has published his cartoons in the newspaper La Opinion de Murcia, Uncle Sain and Route 66.

From 1998 to 2012 has been published in the Thursday, where they appeared his two most famous characters, "Nick Platinum" and "Ortega and Pacheco", which, with its bold pattern and black and white, has poured his characteristic caustic humor that has always characterized his work.
