Eleven entities work with the City for payment to providers (23/05/2012)

This measure allows a strong injection of liquidity into the productive economy

Eleven banks have signed this morning with the city of Murcia credits that will facilitate payment by May 30, 39 million owed to vendors.

This measure allows a strong injection of liquidity into the productive economy, which is a dynamic stimulus to economic activity, particularly SMEs and freelancers.

The interest rate on this loan is 5.9%, revised every three months.

It should also be noted that the early repayment of this loan carries no penalty.

Through this operation is encouraged that providers can collect a total EUR 39,055,185.96 next week.

The eleven banks to assist in this operation are BBVA, Bankia, La Caixa, Santander, Cajamurcia, Banco Popular, Banesto, Sabadell, CAM, Bankinter and Cajamar.

The financial projection designed by the city of Murcia and the measures taken in recent months have already received approval from the Ministry of Finance and Public Administration, which has endorsed the good condition of the municipal coffers.

Last week, the House agreed to concerted lending long-term -10 years amounting to 39 million euros through the Official Credit Institute.

This amount represents the unpaid bills to suppliers at December 31, 2011 and endorsements by the City Council agreed with the banks.

All providers of this Administration have expressed their readiness to benefit from this payment plan approved by the National Government.

This is a mechanism that meets the demands of the municipalities in need of cleaning up its accounts, remove liquidity problems and encourage entrepreneurship and job creation in paying off debts to many companies.
