The Mayor of Murcia, Miguel Angel House, inaugurated the new headquarters of the On-Off Parkinson Association in Barrio del Progreso.
The local City Council has given this association, and equipment to furnish the new building.
In addition, the Department of Social Welfare and Health granted an annual subsidy to On-Off Parkinson to collaborate in the development of their business.
This association was created in July 2000 in order to respond to Parkinson's patients and their families and work to improve health and quality of life of these patients.
On-Off Parkinson occupies the space that until recently was aimed at Senior Center on Beard Street.
On the first floor of the building is the Center for Women in the hamlet.
The Mayor of Murcia, accompanied by the Councillor for Social Welfare, María del Carmen Pelegrin, has discovered a plaque commemorating the inauguration of the new headquarters.
On-Off The Parkinson Association provides social care services, therapy, respite care, home care, specialized transportation, home physical therapy, counseling and occupational activities.
