The show solidarity "Murcia, Project Man" has grossed more than 26,000 euros (29/02/2012)

The Parrandboleros, the Company and Carmen Rubio and Matilde Coral Discantus altruistically participate in this event sponsored by the city of Murcia and sponsored by the Foundation Cajamurcia, among other companies

With all tickets sold, the tickets sold out within days to be sold, and a collection of over 26,000 euros, the gala solidarity Murcia, Man Project has raised great expectations among Murcia, anxious to know by within the newly remodeled and Romea Theatre while collaborating with a good cause.

The gala, presented by Igor Gómez, reopen the doors of the Romea Theatre on Saturday 3 March at 19.30 hours, and all proceeds will fully earmarked Murcia Proyecto Hombre, an organization dedicated to the treatment and prevention of addictions been working in the region since 1995.

The City of Murcia, with the collaboration of the Cajamurcia, has decided to give the Romea Theatre to celebrate the gala and help raise funds for Project Man thus raising Murcia society of the need to support the role of social integration these difficult economic times.

The gala will begin with the performance of Parrandboleros, a group created in 1999 that performs songs in Spanish and Latin America: tropical-flavored rhythms, a bolero, a warm music that versioned imprinting their own style.

This group of Latin popular music is composed by thirty artists, structured into two main sections: a polyphonic vocal and one instrumental, in turn configured with plucked string (bass, guitars, and picks requintos), winds (trombone, trumpet, flute, saxophone) and Latin percussion.

From the very year of its occurrence have been performed throughout the Spanish territory and numerous tours throughout America and Europe.

They have also recorded several CDs and has performed with singers like Francis and Pastora Soler.

The second part of the Company will begin with Carmen and Matilde Rubio, who has participated in national and international festivals of dance of great prestige, such as Havana or the Biennale of Arts of China.

In addition, he has performed in major theaters Spanish as well as in various European venues.

This company has always had a very strong identity, engaging in different forms of Spanish dance, but their last few shows have paid most attention to flamenco dance and stylized dance.

Finally, close the show Discantus Choir, directed by Angel Luis Carrillo, with the pianist Pedro Valero and soloists Gema Hernandez, Alejandro Romero, Jose Javier Gambín and David Bath.

Established in 1995, the choir consists of about ninety members in its Official Selection, which are joined by a Chamber Choir, a Children and Youth Section and a Section of Applicants.

In his symphonic repertoire was directed by renowned directors in the interpretation of great works of Bach, Handel, Mozart, Orff, Haydn, Vivaldi, Faure and Purcell, among other composers.

He has also participated in plays, oratorios, concerts of Cuban music and gospel, plus performances of zarzuela and opera.
