Adopted by the public call for subsidies for rental housing for persons with limited resources (25/02/2012)

The City Council has approved the rules for the public call for subsidies to protected tenancy housing in the municipality of Murcia, in 2012.

These grants can be requested by individuals (families) and associations engaged in providing housing for people with limited resources.

In 2011 it handled 265 cases, leading to the award of 125 grants.

In 2010 the applications were of 230, and in 2009 at 175.

The aid is allocated a minimum of 900 euros / year and a maximum of 2,500 euros / year.

It subsidizes up to 75% of the annual rent you pay, depending on the income of applicants.

Victims of domestic violence have additional aid of 500 euros / year.

To qualify for these grants must be registered in the Register of Claimants of Housing of the City of Murcia (minimum 3 years of residence in the municipality), have a lease and be current in paying all bills that the home is the residence and not related to the lessor.

The income must be between 0.5 and 2.5 of IPREM (3,727, 57 euros and 18,637.85 euros).

Rental must occupy between 25% and 75% of family income support and claimants should be aware of the tax obligations with all Administrations.

In addition, housing must be in good living conditions.

This aid is incompatible with rental assistance from the Department of Social Welfare.

Have precedence when obtaining these grants, victims of domestic violence, single parent households or lone mothers, families in which all adults are unemployed at the time of application and have children or disabled dependents, Large families, families with disabled members and households that do not exceed once IPREM.

The City Council allocated 184,000 euros in aid, and reserve a bag of 57,000 euros for emergencies.

The deadline for submission of applications starts with the publication of this notice in the BORM and ends two months evenings.

In the event that the applicant is a victim of domestic violence may apply for assistance until 31 October.
