The president kicks off the activities of the XXV week of the Faculty of Biology (20/02/2012)

Biology Week, organized by the Faculty of the University of Murcia and it plays in this year's 25th anniversary, has been launched today by the Rector, José Antonio Cobacho, and the dean of the center, José Meseguer.

During this week, this university has prepared a series of entertainment and educational activities including exhibitions, open houses, roundtables, conferences and lectures on job placement.

The president has presided over the awards ceremony for the Regional Olympiad of Biology, the Poster Competition Award and the Association of Environment of the Region of Murcia (EEA).

The latter has been for Esther Gómez Nuria Gonzalez, a paper entitled "Indoor Air Microbiological Quality in Academic Libraries."

As regards the Olympics, Francisco Jose Moreno Prison, the IES Saavedra Fajardo, has won the Special Award of the Academy of Sciences of the Region of Murcia, while Alba Maria Garcia Garcia, Marist College Merced Fuensanta and Nuria Fernandez Perez of San Jose, Espinardo College, won the second prize.

The three represent the region in the national phase of the Olympiad to be held during the month of March also in Murcia.

During the opening ceremony, we proceeded also to the delivery of the first and second prize in the poster contest, which went to Juan Diego Benavente Ingelmo and Rosa Maria Martinez Campello, respectively.

Previously, Manuel Ramon Garcia, a fellow of the Laboratory-Museum José Loustau, delivered the lecture "and their relationship Loustau Murcia".
