Healthy Habits for students of the School-Workshop Local Police Headquarters in La Alberca (28/01/2012)

The 55 students and faculty of the School-Workshop Local Police Headquarters in La Alberca involved in addiction prevention program, within which the activity is 'Enjoy the fruit' which includes the consumption of fruit daily to promote healthy habits.

Phase II ', the Department of Employment, Trade and Enterprise, led by José María Tortosa, includes the module' Addiction Prevention "with sections devoted to substance abuse, healthy lifestyles as an alternative: eating habits, sleep and activity physical, and sexual responsibility.

The activity 'Enjoy the fruit' aims to promote healthy lifestyles for students and teachers to facilitate the approach to the fruit at breakfast.

Thus, it offers students, faculty and staff of the School-a fruit shop in the morning break.

This initiative takes place from Monday to Friday during the month of January.

This activity gets to easy, accessible and free consumption of fruit and make fruit intake replace other less healthy foods such as soft drinks, bakery products, snacks, etc ...

The module 'Addiction Prevention' aims to encourage student interest in the adoption of healthy lifestyles as part of their overall development, modifying behaviors that respond to individual or social customs unhealthy and dangerous to health, to promote change external to the individual factors that negatively influence their health, and promote attitudes of responsibility for drug addiction, with particular reference to synthetic drugs, alcohol, snuff and eating behavior.

It also aims to get students to accept health as a fundamental value and provide students with access to information and social resources.

The school-workshop that builds the Local Police Headquarters in La Alberca involved 43 students and 12 professionals (teachers, technicians, administrative staff, etc).

The students, who are both workers receive training in the specialties of masonry, welding, tiling, carpentry, locksmith and aluminum carpentry, plumbing and electrical and general maintenance of gardens.
