The government team intends to keep working day public employees in 35 hours (27/01/2012)

Sources unions convened a meeting for next Monday to discuss this proposal and reach a consensus

Councilwoman Safety and Human Resources, Nuria Fuentes, has called on the various trade unions represented in the City Council at a meeting next Monday.

This morning I sent the proposal of working time for study and may be discussed at the meeting and reach a consensus.

The mayor explained that "after collecting all the suggestions of the unions, is intended to respect the 35 hour work week and respecting both the working day as the retributive power."

The normal working week will average equivalent to 35 hours.

For the services of "administrative" that do not require customer service in different time zones to the morning, generally set from Monday to Friday from 8 to 15 hours.

When service needs, is required to perform regular work day in different time zones to the general schedule established morning, it will be deducted from the computation time required to meet those needs.

In these cases the officers receive financial compensation for the type of special event that takes place.

The aim to achieve with this measure is "on the one hand meet the demand to respect the working day, while streamlining municipal services and rearranged to provide better service to citizens," he noted Fuentes.

Thus the proposal presented today is the work being done since last December with all municipal services.
