The European project has been rated 2.0 as an example of good practice nationally (20/01/2012)

These activities must be added the actions of the Urban Plan

The councilors of Social Welfare and Education, María del Carmen Pelegrin, respectively, attended this morning's activity have been developing public school students in the hamlet of Salzillo Espinardo.

This is a pioneering project in the municipality of Murcia, which by its nature has been described as an example of good practice nationally.

With this initiative, schools of Murcia join more than 4,000 primary schools and secondary schools across Europe to spend part of their educational program to meet European competitions, exhibitions, debates and meetings, conferences and online discussions between students from different countries and local dignitaries, national or international were some of the activities carried out so that the smallest will become aware of the importance of our Union.

In May 2011, the Autonomous Region approved the project of transforming the PC into a CPEIBAS Salzillo (Public Center of Early Childhood Education and Elementary) in Central Public Preschool and Basic, delaying the age of entry to the Institute and for both combating the dropouts.

Also, in addition to the educational project, URBAN is developing the following activities within the school Salzillo:

- After-school program for children and adolescents and parent: tutoring, morning room, time off, backyard activities.

- Artistic Training Program in Dance: classical ballet, Spanish flamenco, urban dance, ballroom dancing, other dancing.

- Training Program in Theatre artistic-

The development of this project in that school has focused primarily on activities focusing on knowledge of European history, origin, members ...

The initiative is a comprehensive teaching materials developed especially for schoolchildren in the municipality of Murcia, which include key issues such as the origins of Europe, the formation of the European Union, the Euro, the European Parliament or the rights and freedoms promotes.

Their intention with this program is to provide them knowledge about the European Union, their countries, symbols and institutions, as well as aware of the role of citizens in a united Europe to know the major issues currently starring today.

The project consists of three parts:

1.

Working in the classroom with teaching materials, specific to the teacher and alumni / ae with which among others aim to achieve the following objectives:

- Acquire basic knowledge about the history and evolution of the European Union.

- Develop the capacity to know and locate the member states of the European Union.

- To know the main governing bodies of the European Union.

- Discover the existence of the European constitution and the importance of developing a single currency.

- Gain awareness of European citizens, and to learn the duties and rights arising from them.

2.

To strengthen and expand some follow-up workshops will be held in the classroom, two hours, allowing the acquisition of new skills around this topic through dynamic audio-visual viewing of the involvement of schoolchildren.

3.

At the same time the workshops will be held in the center panel exhibition on the evolution of creation of the European Union.

The treatment of this information is presented simply and graphically illustrated in the guidelines developed by educators, consisting of a teaching guide for teachers and a teaching guide for schools with classroom activities to develop.

Parallel interactive workshops have been organized to be held on school grounds and the students, with specialized, playing will review highlights of the European Union.
