"The architectural design is essential for energy savings in buildings" (17/01/2012)

"The architectural design is essential for energy savings in buildings. Scientists can help architects and engineers in their work but they who have the responsibility to design."

This forceful shown in San Antonio Catholic University of Murcia (UCAM) Doctor in Physics and President of the Spanish Society of Physics and Head of R & D unit's Energy Efficiency Centre for Energy, Environment and Technology (CIEMAT) Rosario Heras bushel.

The scientist has ruled the conference 'Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy in Building "organized by the Polytechnic School of the UCAM.

Rosario Heras Celemín explained during his speech that the CIEMAT is a public research body under the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness, development-oriented R & D + i in Energy, Environment and Technology, the promotion of sustainable development, and to increase the quality of life of citizens through the generation and application of scientific knowledge.

The physics expert has stated that "in Spain, since 1986, have made great strides in energy efficiency and analysis for building and urban development projects materialized in R + D + i for energy efficiency in buildings and urban , support for energy-efficient design of buildings, systems rehabilitation and new construction, and monitoring and evaluation of building energy usage in real conditions. "

Celemín Heras has also referred to current energy challenges, political and technological building sector and highlighted including reduced energy demand in new and rehabilitated buildings, the integration of renewable energies in Architecture, and decreased consumption for thermal conditioning through the development of bioclimatic architecture.
