IES students have participated Mariano Baquero
The Library of El Carmen in the Department of Education of the City of Murcia has held a meeting with the writer and marine Meana Elijah has been on the Antarctic.

Elijah Meana (Salamanca, 1946) is the merchant marine officer specializing in radio and in 1983 participated as a crewmember on the first Spanish expedition to Antarctica.

In his role as a writer, his work is devoted to the sea and its environment.
In 1998 he won the prize with his novel Nostromo 'Maria Bonita'.
