Councilwoman Safety and Human Resources, Nuria Fuentes has called for this morning a table negotiating with union representatives in order to negotiate the implementation of 2.5 hours weekly increase in working hours.

So the mayor has raised a proposal to the union sections for the redistribution of staff hours to be negotiated, in establishing a global computing 1642.5 hours spread over 366 days of 2012 , making it necessary to reorganize municipal services to fit the decree 20/2011.

The council has explained that "we will continue working with the unions for this rearrangement is the result of consensus."

So the mayor has emphasized that meeting the union representatives making clear that "this does not mean extended opening hours in any downsizing in the City but rearranging schedules to provide better service."

Sources pointed out that "the Consistory has long made a significant effort to keep jobs both temporary and labor officials."
