The University of Murcia in a symposium about the appropriation of Shakespeare by dictatorships (13/01/2012)

The Department of English at the University of Murcia has organized next week (from 16 to 18 January) a symposium, entitled "Shakespeare and Tyranny" in the appropriation to deepen various totalitarian regimes have made the work the playwright.

The working sessions, to be held in the House of Arts, Merced campus, will feature the contributions of European specialists in Shakespeare, from academics theatrical translators and actors.

The opening ceremony of the symposium, coordinated by Professor Graham Keith Gregor, will be held Monday at 10:00 pm in the Chamber.
