Councilman United Left-Greens in Murcia Jose Ignacio Tornel today urged the council to explain why not spread to other parts of the city monitoring service provided by serene if deemed "effective".

Tornel has stated that this service only enjoy the downtown neighborhoods, El Carmen and the districts of Los Garres, El Palmar and Sucina, so that "the council funded with money from all service that benefits a very small sector" .

For the mayor, one of the questions that the council should clarify the criteria below to decide which neighborhoods and districts enjoy this night surveillance.

It has supported the maintenance of calm because service is aimed at people with difficulties entering the labor activity, but considered that "can provide other services able to meet the needs of a broader population."

Specifically, he noted that persons hired as watchmen can provide work in the maintenance of sports facilities, open study halls in cultural centers and school playgrounds after school to practice sport and improve the maintenance of gardens and street furniture.

"This way would be distributed equally the budget for this purpose, it would extend its work to all residents of the municipality, and municipal services would be improved by dedicating staff to other tasks necessary for fostering the cultural activity and alternative leisure ", was completed.
