The Mayor presented a book by the painter Looks on the crib Saura mobile Casillas (04/01/2012)

The work consists of 67 watercolors spread over 38 chapters.

Miguel Angel House has highlighted the expertise of the author and his book is homage to the tradition belenística Murcia.

The Mayor, Miguel Angel House, this morning the new book by artist Saura Look, this time dedicated to the traditional crib that is installed in the village of Casillas.

The work consists of 67 watercolors and drawings spread over 3 38 chapters of the book 'The mobile Bethlehem Casillas'.

The event was attended by the author, together with one of the promoters of the work, Angel Martinez.

Mayor House has stressed that this new publication is "a tribute to the generations of Murcia who have dedicated their lives to belenística splendid tradition that from ancient times, found in our land a place of privilege."

According to House, representing the birth of Jesus and the environment in which they came into the world "has always needed the pulse and the expertise of our craftsmen to make tiny, valuable works of art."

But it has also attracted the genius of great artists who have managed to reflect the feeling of joy and hope that meant big event.

Among them is our countryman, Fulgencio Saura Look, "an author whose unquestioning devotion to painting has earned him rightly, a place of honor among the great artists from Murcia" of all time, added the mayor.

Look Saura moves into this new proposal in the intimate world of Bethlehem.

And it does so by choosing one of the most famous and most visited of all the Region of Murcia: the Bethlehem of Casillas, and curious endowed with a certain life through different mills that will delight those who love this time of Christmas and the customs and Murcia traditions.

Along with the painter, who proposes an altarpiece of imagined characters through their skilled hands, has been instrumental in the support of Angel Martinez.

His determination and effort to preserve and promote the Bethlehem Casillas is now being manifested in this new publication, where we get into the unknown details of the composition, which can be considered art scene twice.

The first, in the models that have inspired the painter.

And second, the pictorial results, together with the careful editing, closer to the homes of all the essence of Murcia and relevant bolder Bethlehem Murcia.
