IU-Green: garbage collection takes 13.78% of total budget (21/12/2011)

IU-Green Murcia has reported today that the outsourcing of garbage collection in the municipality will cost 56.5 million euros in 2012, representing a 13.78 per cent of the overall budget of the session.

Herguedas also criticized the current crisis context of the budget includes an increase in the rate of garbage, and the municipality provides for the tax raise two million euros more than in 2011.

It has asked that part of the council's budget for street cleaning, which is the highest of all departments, engaged in training activities on recycling and reuse, among others.

"Therefore, added the mayor, the mayor ignores dictated by Valcárcel and Rajoy to raise garbage rates to all Murcia."
