The University of Murcia trains future professionals digital (20/12/2011)

The University of Murcia has given a digital media training to about 900 students during the two years of participation in the professional digital Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Trade.

The project aims to promote the national industry of digital content through the creation of centers of production and experimentation that allow the formation of students and professionals in this sector since the Spanish public universities.

Specifically, the University of Murcia has made a payment of 326,136 euros (70% contributed by the public entity Red.es) for the creation of its Center Basic Production and Experimentation.

The Centre, which is equipped with the necessary infrastructure for training in digital content, audiovisual production and postproduction and motion capture, addresses students and faculty qualifications related to digital content and professionals who want to extend their learning.

During the years of the program at the University of Murcia has carried out various training activities in graphic design, web and multimedia design, 2D/3D animation, motion capture, editing, post production and audiovisual equipment, and storage, distribution and publication.

Similarly, we have established relationships with the business for the joint training of professionals.

The program, which is developed by Red.es and the Conference of Rectors of Public Universities (CRUE) with a budget of 12.2 million has been presented today in Convalescence by the rector of the University of Murcia, Jose Antonio Cobacho; Program coordinator, José Labrador, and the director of Attica (the area of ​​Technology Applied Information and Communication) of the institution Murcia, Tomás Jiménez.
