The UCAM is twinned with Jewish culture (15/12/2011)

The Catholic University San Antonio (UCAM) has this afternoon signed a bilateral agreement for mutual cooperation with the Sepharad-Israel House, a cultural institution born of the commitment between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, the Community of Madrid and the Madrid City Council, with the aim of deepening the Sephardic culture as an integral part of Spanish culture, promote the study of Jewish culture, and develop ties of cooperation and understanding between both cultures, from culture, art, economics, values ​​education and the social universe.

Note that the contract document was signed by the President of the UCAM, Jose Luis Mendoza, and the Director General of the consortium Sefarad Israel, Álvaro Albacete.

The heads of the Catholic University San Antonio and Casa Sefarad, José Luis Mendoza and Alvaro Albacete, have expressed their satisfaction with the signing of this joint agreement aimed at establishing a framework of mutual cooperation for the promotion of outreach activities, training and research, such as courses, seminars, conferences and research initiatives to develop between Sepharad-Israel House and qualifications and departments of the UCAM.

Jose Luis Mendoza, has expressed his deep affection, admiration and deep affection for the culture, religion and members of the Jewish people and has ensured that this twinning cooperation agreement is a sign of inclusiveness and welcoming Catholic University San Antonio.

"This agreement will strengthen cultural ties and mutual affection between our cultures," he assured.
