The Mayor's House opened a new office that improves health care for the residents of Sangonera La Seca (15/12/2011)

The investment amounts to almost 642,000 euros, mostly funded by the Autonomous Community.

The primary care network currently consists of 23 health centers and 42 clinics peripherals.

The residents of Sangonera La Seca already have a new doctor replacing and upgrading the units with which they had hitherto users.

The new facility, opened this morning by the Mayor, Miguel Angel House, and the Ministry of Health and Social Policy, Maria Angeles Palacios, ensures the provision of a service of high quality health care.

In construction, financed by the Autonomous Community, which has provided 560,000 euros, 642,000 euros has been invested, of which € 100,000 has been allocated to the budget of the provision of furniture and equipment.

The event was attended also by the Councillor for Health and Social Welfare, María del Carmen Pelegrin, and the President of the Municipal Board of Sangonera La Seca, Catherine Carrillo.

The center, which has a floor space of 1,226 square meters has been built on a plot donated by the City Council and its construction allows you to replace the units in which up to now offering the service, which had been insufficient.

In addition, new facilities have been designed to serve the current population of 5319 inhabitants and absorb the expected growth in the future.

The clinic has 3 general medical consultations, 1 Pediatrics, 3 nurses and 1 treatment room, with their waiting rooms.

An expanding network

In addition to the opening of these new health facilities Sangonera la Seca, is expected in the coming weeks the opening of new office Lobosillo and Health Center San Juan.

Moreover, the autonomous region, on lots donated by the City Council, is building health centers Aljucer, Floridablanca and James the Greater and is planning Zaraíche Santiago and Sangonera la Verde.

Also, the City maintains its commitment to collaboration and primary health care contributing to the maintenance of peripheral referral system of the municipality, currently composed of 42 centers.
