The IU-Green spokesman in Murcia, Esther Herguedas, today called on the town council's "maximum involvement" in order to expedite procedures for the construction of new school "New School" in the hamlet of El Palmar.
Herguedas noted that some problems have prevented the Consistory enforce the transfer of the plot on which to build the school at the Autonomous Community.
In addition, he recalled that the school "is not a specific item in the budgets of the Community for 2012, so in principle its construction seems assured, although there is a commitment to extra-budgetary funding."
Therefore, the spokesman for IU-Green has asked the Councillor for Education its "maximum involvement" in order to expedite proceedings to require the municipal and autonomous region fulfill its commitment.
In this regard, he recalled that "the urgency and priority" of this school has been unanimously ratified in separate motions in the city of Murcia and the Regional Assembly.
