The urban design commission studying ways to rearrange the Romea square with public and private capital
The City is engaging professional associations of the main projects of the municipality and has begun to have their say in the reform bill Romea Square.
Urban Design Commission, for the study of rehabilitation of urban spaces in Murcia, has met with representatives of professional Architects, Engineers, Industrial and Agricultural, Surveyors, and Urbamusa Technology Centre Construction and Frecom and several councilors, who have been given a draft of the design competition rules of the terraces of the Plaza del Romea.
Councillor for Public Roads, Ana Martinez Vidal, described the meeting as "very positive" because through these sessions is to gather the suggestions and contributions of professional and residents of Murcia.
Vidal Martinez has advanced to the residents of the municipality will support proposals that they like best to reform the plaza, and a jury will select three awards.
This is explained by the Councillor, to improve aesthetics and management of this place within the framework of the Public Highways Ordinance, addressing realistic projects.
To run the final draft will be the consensus of the shops on the square.
In terms of funding, the City Council will consider the formula to cooperate both public and private capital to implement the chosen proposal.
