Miguel Ángel Cámara am involved in the European Parliament to present the progress made by Murcia in energy efficiency
Murcia has been at the head of the European movement that promotes smart cities, defined as the cities that are committed to promote progress in the fight against climate change and improve energy savings and efficiency through the innovative use of digital technologies.
The Mayor of Murcia, along with that of Zaragoza, was the first who joined the Chapter Verde or Green Digital Charter Digital in 2009 and has been chosen by the Eurocities Network to lead the Smart Cities and Smart cities and invite Spanish mayors to join this initiative.
In this context, will speak on Tuesday at the meeting of Green Digital Charter, which also discuss the mayors of Zagreb, Eindhoven and Bristol.

Currently, there are 3,000 European cities adhering to the covenant, of which some 300 Spanish, including Murcia and Madrid were pioneers.
House will also present at the signing of the agreement by the Mayor of Rabat (Morocco), Noureddine Lazrak, who will make his first capital city in Africa in addition to this initiative for sustainability and the environment.
