Increase visits to the wall of Santa Eulalia (19/11/2011)

The Wall Center of Santa Eulalia, the Department of Tourism has increased considerably the visits received.

During the last six months of the year, from May to November, the number of visitors has grown by 35% over the same period last year and accounted for 11 500 school children and people who have known this space.

Of the total visitors, 31% are foreigners.

On days when more people are detected are Monday-because many museums and visitor centers are closed-Wednesdays and weekends.

This space houses a section of medieval wall surrounding the city and the gateway to Santa Eulalia, which was one of the doors that gave access to Murcia.

The wall can be seen XII century, although the first city walls were built in 825 AD, when it was founded Murcia.

In Santa Eulalia you can see the evolution of the city.

This space offers free guided tours for schools and the general public.

The hours are Monday through Saturday from 10 to 14 and from 16.30 to 20.30.

Sundays and holidays from 10 to 14 hours.

For schools also offers educational materials so they can work with students.
