165 young people start their training in Initial Vocational Training Program of the City (16/11/2011)

They are between 16 and 17 years and have left school without obtaining the ESO Courses are electro and communications facilities, welding, cooking, hairdressing, beauty, trade and storage, plumbing, air conditioning and vehicle maintenance

165 youth have begun classes Initial Vocational Training Program of the Department of Employment, led by José María Tortosa.

These are studies for young people, aged between 16 and 20 years who have left school without obtaining the ESO.

In this course, which runs until July 2012, has enrolled 119 boys and 46 girls, 16 and 17 years.

The occupations given by the City Council are:

- Auxiliary operations and communications installation of electrical equipment

- Welding Auxiliary operations (2 groups)

- Services kitchen staff

- Services auxiliary to hairdressing

- Ancillary aesthetic

- Support services and warehouse trade

- Plumbing, HVAC Operations (2 groups)

- Auxiliary Operations Vehicle Maintenance (2 groups)

At the completion of the classes students will take 150 hours of work experience in companies that have cooperation agreements with the City.

After finishing the course, they are able to enter the workforce or continue studying a second year of the Initial Vocational Training Program, which will allow you to graduate in ESO.

The Ministry of Education has supported this project with about 500,000 euros, while the City is responsible for providing facilities, training materials, workshops, clothing and protective equipment of occupational hazards.

The Consistory offers these studies since 1992.

At this time 155 were given to 2,200 students profiles.
