The University of Murcia has implemented this academic year, improved network connection to the new national R + D + i, IRIS-NOVA, uniting Spanish universities and public research organizations.
The new network has much higher speed links and regional nodes, which provide extra strength and speed and a significant improvement in response time.
The University of Murcia, meanwhile, is now connected via fiber optic links of 10 Gbps speeds in excess of 622 Mbps of the two links above.
IRIS-NOVA project is driven by the Ministry of Education and Science and funded by the Ministry of Telecommunications for a total of 138 million euros.
