A doctoral thesis at the University of Murcia by Enrique Fernandez Encabo literature has analyzed the network of Murcia in the second half of the nineteenth and early twentieth century through the work of poet Carlos Cano military and Núñez (1846-1922).
This research, which has obtained excellent cum laude, studied the career of this author, his contributions to the press and its participation in various floral games, and its role as a catalyst for this network literature.
The dissertation discusses his work as editor of the weekly illustrated "The Mosaic", which was first published in 1896, and whose first number was announced that it was born "to offer its readers a weekly leisure time with his poetry Festive Articles humorous, his hobbies and his cartoons. "
He added that "these works alternate with other serious, with photogravures of famous men and remarkable monuments, which would justify the title which verifies their appearance."
In this newspaper published papers, among others, Martinez Tornel, Frutos Baeza, Balart, Diaz Cassou and Sánchez Madrigal.
The thesis was supervised by Professor and former Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Murcia Patricio Gómez Peñalver.
