This achievement adds to those already achieved for the municipality, as the ultimate recovery of the River Segura, the signing of the agreement for the undergrounding of the railway, passing through the municipality of Murcia, the rehabilitation of the environment Artillery Barracks as a cultural space, educational and recreational for Murcia and the creation of sculptural spaces among others.

In return, through a swap with the city of Murcia, the tax may have the land that needs to reunite his services in two municipal lots of care and cultural facilities of 3,300 and 4,600 meters, 7900 meters in total between Juan Carlos I Avenue and Juan de Borbon, which yield the Town Hall, and that in turn will become owner of the old jail building.

The City retrofitted this landmark building in the city to make a space for social, cultural and recreational, respecting its facade
