The National Police arrested two residents of Palmar involved in the theft of vehicles parked on the street by a crane (31/10/2011)

Agents of the National Police Station belonging to the district of El Carmen, have arrested two residents of El Palmar, 58 and 41 years old and Spanish nationality, who are charged with the theft of vehicles parked on the street , using a crane and in some cases to justify action posing as council workers.

The modus operandi of those arrested was the next one through the streets of the city looking at vehicles that were parked and took a long time without being used, once made the choice to let the other with the crane company removed the vehicle and taken to the base where it stored.

The next operation was scrapped and to cancel the vehicle at an approved decontamination and decommissioning for sale, for it managed to contact the owner of the vehicle and posing as council workers convinced them to get the documentation of the vehicle and owner, pointing out that the withdrawal had been the vehicle for being illegally parked so long and the fine was high and the recovery costs are also high, therefore they took care of everything without costs, in some cases to forge the signature the owner so that the center will authorize the dismantling of the vehicle floor.

The research carried out the agents of the police station in El Carmen begins when an owner gives the alarm, not convinced by the reasons they give those who take their car.

For practical steps subsequently identified the two arrested twenty-seventh day being held this month, accusing them of crimes of robbery / theft of vehicle use, fraud and forgery of documents, available from Magistrate's Court number three in Murcia.

Investigations remain open in order to identify more injured and retrieve their vehicles.
