Eleven proposals for living environment during the last quarter of 2011 (26/10/2011)

The City Council cut the price of the seminars on nature and environmental pathways guided while the trails are free

Start the program of seminars and workshops of Nature and Environmental Itineraries and Guided Tours of the Department of Environment for the last quarter of the year.

This program begins with activities designed especially for family groups, thus favoring an alternative leisure in which adults and children can meet and enjoy together the natural environment of Majal Blanco, through games, workshops and tours tailored to your needs .

The seminar schedule includes a training and development aimed at promoting farming practices, especially among the bidders for municipal Leisure Gardens: practices will be held on the ground, building and promoting sustainable agricultural work on farms and existing gardens.

Given the high demand raises, also proposes a new edition of the seminar dedicated to the revival of traditions such as Christmas candy making.

Seminars and workshops Nature:

• 22 and 23 October - Majal family: rides, games and workshops in nature.

• 19 and November 20 - Urban gardens and leisure facilities: practical basis for a more ecological agriculture.

• 17 and 18 December - Christmas sweets Workshop: hands to work.

The programming of itineraries and guided tours offer different scenarios for the initiation and deepening of hiking, while facilitating the approach to the singularities and environmental values ​​of the environments we visit.

A new feature in this period suggest a fall tour in both the mountain and the gardens of the city, which can meet the most iconic trees and shrubs and their salient features in the autumn - winter.

Guided Tours Itineraries and Environmental

• October 23 - PR "Family Trail" (White Mahal) - 2, 5 km / Baja.

• October 30 - Journey Through Majal Blanco: summits and viewpoints - 15 km / Alta.

• November 6 - Route "After the mushrooms in the Region of Murcia" - By bus / Baja.

• November 13 - PR-Mu 35 "Cuevas del Vulture" (White Mahal) - 4.64 km / Media.

• November 20 - PR-Mu 52 "Barranco Blanco" (White Mahal) - 6.9 km / Media.

• November 27 "- Murcia Gardens in Autumn" 5 km / Baja.

• December 4, "The Fall White Majal" 5 km / Baja.

• December 18 - "Rambla del Puerto Castillo Chain" - 6.5 km / Media.

All activities are free for people aged 65 years and under 16 years also the guided tours are free for all participants.

In addition, the Department of Environment, considering the current economic climate has reduced enrollment Environmental Seminars and Guided Tours (by bus) for those not among the groups that enjoy free conditions.

Thus, cost five euros (before the seminars cost ten euros)

Participation in these activities is open to all persons interested in municipal deeper understanding of nature, and enjoy it in a fun and educational context.

Seminars and workshops Nature launched in 1996 as a pioneering local initiative, is a reference quality training environment for all people interested in these issues.

In these 15 years of experience, the Department of Environment has been refined to Programs, maturing and consolidating a stable supply of training, diverse and quality, with the Hall of Majal Blanco Nature and environment as municipal facility of reference.

During this period, 268 activities have been developed (in 328 weekends), with the participation of 4973 people.

Later, in 2002 launched the Environmental Routes and Itineraries Guided, in order to promote public awareness and appreciation of heritage values ​​of natural areas of interest.

Many of these routes are conducted in small tours (PR) marked on the Forest Park Municipal Majal Blanco, but also visit other local and regional enclaves.

Since then they have planned and organized 146 activities, which were attended by 2657 people.
