The Department of Political Equality and Development Cooperation of the Municipality of Murcia, directed by Alicia Barquero, is responsible for the coordination and implementation of municipal Plan for Equal Opportunities between women and men.
Among the various actions being undertaken by the Municipality of Murcia for the implementation of the Plan, has taken place this morning, 10 to 12 hours, training for municipal staff to incorporate gender perspective in the formulation and monitoring of contracts made by the city of Murcia.
With the completion of this training, is to begin implementation of the provisions in this regard on Axis 1 of the Municipal Plan for Equal Opportunities between Women and Men of the City of Murcia, as 1.2.A: "Study and incorporation into the specifications for public bidding for access to contracts with the local government, special conditions of execution of the work related to the Equal Opportunities between Women and Men ".
The training is directed to the municipal staff in each service, has among its powers the performance of specifications for procurement of works and / or services as well as monitoring and enforcement of them.
The contents are as follows:
- Constitutional Principle of Equal Opportunity
- Article 33 of the Organic Law for Effective Equality between Women and Men
- Special Conditions of Contract Execution.
Law 30/2007 on Public Sector Contracts Act
- Monitoring compliance with the conditions.
