Professor at the University of Murcia Pedro Guerrero Jimenez, a specialist in the study of the atmosphere and pollution, will receive tomorrow, day 18, the prize "Juan López de Peñalver", awarded by the Royal Academy of Engineering.
With this award, the agency wants to highlight the contributions of this professor to study the physics of the atmosphere and its interactions with pollution, especially in large cities.
This faculty of the University of Murcia also collaborates in the development of regional climate projections for the Fifth Report of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.
The award, which has a prize of 18,000 euros, will be presented tomorrow at a ceremony to be held at the Madrid headquarters of the Royal Academy of Engineering, from 18:00.
