Murcia City Council was held this afternoon the old council vote to the Virgen del Rosario, a remote tradition recovered by the Confraternity of Our Lady of the Rosary of Murcia and the Murcia Municipal Program left.

The church of Santa Ana has hosted this historic event to restore a secular tradition of our City Hall, missing for decades.

This is the vote that the City Council of Murcia, made in perpetuity to the Virgen del Rosario, in gratitude for gifts received to get rid of a terrible epidemic in 1677.

During the solemn function of the vote, the City Council in full and in clubs, and chaired by the Mayor, Miguel Ángel Cámara, has renewed that vow.

After the Eucharist, the sacred image of the Virgin has toured the ships of the Convent of Santa Ana in prayerful procession Claustral.

During the month of October and as usual, the Confraternity of the Virgin of Rosario de Murcia, whose Head is venerated in the historic and artistic Convent Church of Santa Ana (Las Anas), is holding various acts of worship and devotion in honor of this Marian image.
