The Mayor sets minimum services to Latbus strike "involving as little hassle as possible to users' local lines (07/10/2011)

The Mayor, Miguel Ángel Cámara, has this morning signed the decree of minimum services that must be met in Murcia before the call to strike by workers over the next Latbus 10, 13 and 14 and, from these, all Monday, Thursday and Friday next, indefinitely.

Thus, in the regular services of local lines (which represent only 20% of the lines affected by the strike) has established minimum service of 50%,

In this way, it seeks "to raise minimum services which safeguard the right of citizens to maintain the minimum conditions of mobility, allowing them to travel to their workplace, to schools or welfare."

The decree notes that "the establishment of minimum services is necessary because it affects a large number of users, requiring that they adequately cover the time slots and especially those considered peak hours, so that it meets the essential needs communication of citizens and access to employment and education centers, rights under the Constitution "

Councillor for Traffic and Transport, Javier Iniesta, explained that "we expect the resolution as quickly as possible before and the labor dispute in order not to cause harm to citizens because of internal problems of the company"
