Castle gate in an exhibition brings together a comprehensive work of video art produced since 2007 (06/10/2011)

The exhibition can be visited until January 27, 2012 and will feature all the artists

El Centro Municipal Puertas de Castilla showroom opens with pensive image: 15 looks to video art, a group show fruit Looks to video art project that began in October 2007 with visual artist Virginia Villaplana.

In a firm commitment to the latest trends, social and urban areas, since these are new disciplines and new forms of artistic, beginning a project by the artists who have spent the most diverse fields within the medium videographer.

The fifteen looks to video art of showing up the work of Clara Boj & Diego Diaz, Eugeni Bonet, Alvaro Castro, Juan Crego, David Domingo, Joan Leandre, Iván Marino, Mau Monleón, Marina Nuñez, Diego del Pozo, Josu Rekalde, Toni Serra / * Abu Ali, Maria Ruido, Agueda Simó and Villaplana Virginia.

Concludes with this exhibition curated by Pedro Ortuño, after five years, a project in which the castle gate has been revised through the projects, the expansion of the image from the new digital technologies, policies memory together with the processes of reconstruction of identities, management and distribution of audiovisual works of art.

These issues will be addressed again by the various visual artists in a workshop articulated panels that will accompany the exhibition in four sessions spread over the months of October and November in which special attention to the field of mediation as a tool for literacy both in the audiovisual room or on the web page created on the occasion of the sample.

Attendance at all is they will be free and will give college credit.

From www.miradasalvideoarte.es be able to access a research library that will grow gradually, and which may be revised texts from different national and international writers in fields as diverse as the politics of memory, the expanded image, cyberfeminism , avant-garde, art and activism and body art, among others.

Also will be available all documents relating to the previous exhibitions as well as the proposed mediation to be conducted during the exhibition.
